QBM X-Treme Performance End Link™ rod ends are produced from the highest quality materials and have features that set them apart from other rod ends. This ensures the longest life and highest performance possible.

QBM stands behind all of our products, which is why all of our rod ends are checked for manufacturing defects and proper operation 4 times before you receive them: the manufacturer's original QC, when we first receive the ends, during product assembly, and a final time before shipping. Any ends that do not meet our strict quality standards are rejected and returned to the manufacturer for replacement.

However, no rod end lasts forever. Like everything on your vehicle, suspension parts are maintenance items. How long the rod ends last depends on many factors including proper installation, driving environment, road conditions, vehicle condition, type and frequency of racing, etc. However, the best quality rod ends (like ours) will far outlast inferior quality rod ends - which if installed and used properly could be a long time.

The QBM X-Treme Performance End Links™ are subjected to extreme load and shock forces as well as a variety of harsh chemicals. End link rod ends should be regularly inspected - perfect opportunities include before races, at oil changes, etc. Any damaged or worn rod ends should be replaced (contact us to purchase replacement parts at a discounted rate).

Maintaining your X-Treme Performance End Links™ by replacing worn components is a small price to pay compared to the large performance benefits the X-Treme Performance End Links™ offer over stock.

If you find that the rod ends are getting repeatedly damaged, be aware that the main causes of damaged rod ends is improper installation. This generally happens in one of two ways:

1. Ends not parallel. As outlined in the installation instructions, the ends must be parallel to one another once completely tightened (think looking down the sights of a gun). If the ends are not parallel once tight the end links will operate beyond their designed alignment angles, causing permanent damage to one or more rod ends.
2. Ends not tight. If the ends are not torqued enough during installation or after adjustments, the ends may rotate in relation to one another. This will cause the same issue as #1 above and the end result will be the same - permanent damage to one or more rod ends.

Finally, having a "mechanic" perform the installation does not automatically guarantee it was done properly!
