QBM Porting Services - Turbocharger Porting

Extract the maximum amount of power from your turbo by utilizing our porting service.

All turbos can be improved upon in numerous ways, from increasing the inlet or outlet size, to polishing out core shift/casting lines/casting flash, to smoothing radiuses and sharp transitions. We evaluate each turbo independently, and custom port your turbo by hand according to your individual needs and power goals.

We handle the cleaning, disassembly, and reassembly. We will also evaluate your turbo's condition and make any recommendations it may need (rebuilding, torn CBV diaphragm requiring our CBV Upgrade Kit, etc).

Please note that we do not work with cores - all work is done with your parts to ensure that you receive your parts back. If you cannot afford vehicle downtime while we work on your parts we recommend acquiring used parts from a salvage yard and sending us those parts to work with (or install the swap the used parts on your car before sending us your parts to rework).

Turbo Porting Service: $125

QBM Porting Services - Turbo Exhaust Manifold Porting

Extract the maximum amount of power from your manifold by utilizing our porting service.

The stock manifold can be improved upon in numerous ways - increasing port size or shape, port matching, removing casting lines and flash, or smoothing radiuses and sharp transitions. We evaluate each manifold independently, and custom port your manifold by hand according to your individual needs and power goals.

We will evaluate your manifold's condition and make any recommendations it may need (cracks, etc) before starting any work.

The price includes shot peening the manifold to remove rust and scale and increase it's strength, as well as cleaning the gasket surface. We also offer optional services like machining the mounting lip to allow mounting of a T3/T4/GT turbo, as well as ceramic coating once porting is complete.

Turbo Exhaust Manifold Porting Service: $249

QBM Porting Services - Cylinder Head Porting

The stock Volvo cylinder head has a lot of room for improvement. We can increase performance with headwork from mild to wild depending on your individual goals and requirements.

Typical portwork includes reworking the ports and dividers, smoothing port radiuses and blending the bowls, smoothing the combustion chambers to remove any hot spots, deshrouding if required, and removing casting lines and flash.

The base price includes the following: jet washing, pressure testing, disassembly, performance porting including 3-angle valve job on Serdi equipment, milling, and clean-room reassembly with new valve seals and retainers. Also included is one of our Phenolic Intake Manifold Spacer Kits, ported-matched to your head (a $95 value).

We also offer optional services such as cryogenic treatment of valve train components including camshafts, performance modifications to stock valves such as backcutting and swirl polishing, upgrades to larger valves for better breathing, flowbenching and blueprinting, magnafluxing, manifold port matching, etc.
