The stock Volvo cylinder head has a lot of room for improvement.
We can increase performance with headwork from mild to wild
depending on your individual goals and requirements.
Typical portwork includes reworking the ports and dividers,
smoothing port radiuses and blending the bowls, smoothing
the combustion chambers to remove any hot spots, deshrouding
if required, and removing casting lines and flash.
The base price includes the following: jet washing, pressure
testing, disassembly, performance porting including 3-angle
valve job on Serdi equipment, milling, and clean-room reassembly
with new valve seals and retainers. Also included is one
of our Phenolic Intake Manifold
Spacer Kits, ported-matched to your head (a $95 value).
We also offer optional services such as cryogenic treatment
of valve train components including camshafts, performance
modifications to stock valves such as backcutting and swirl
polishing, upgrades to larger valves for better breathing,
flowbenching and blueprinting, magnafluxing, manifold port
matching, etc.
Please note that we do not work with cores - all work
is done with your parts to ensure that you receive
your parts back. If you cannot afford vehicle downtime
while we work on your parts we recommend acquiring used
parts from a salvage yard to send to us to work with (or
swap the used parts on your car before sending us your parts
to rework).
