QBM Turbo Manifold Flange


Upgrading your stock turbo and need a custom manifold? Use one of our manifold flanges to fabricate a log style or equal length manifold exactly the way you want it.

The QBM Turbo Manifold Flange is CAD designed and CNC machined from 1/2" thick steel. The ports are sized perfectly for 1.5" weld-els. The head to manifold transition is CNC ported to ensure smooth flow and proper transition from the oval exhaust ports to the round weld-els.

Fits all 5-cyl Volvo models.

Turbo Manifold Flange: $90

NOTE: Fabrication and welding is required to build a custom turbo manifold. Depending on the manifold design, changes to the feed and drain lines, fresh air intake tube, charge piping, and downpipe may be required. After welding, QBM recommends cutting the flange between each port to allow for normal heat expansion, followed by surfacing (flycutting) the flange flat to true the surface from any warping that occurred during welding.

 

QBM DIY Turbo Manifold Kit


Upgrading your stock turbo and need a custom turbo manifold? Use one of our DIY turbo manifold kits to build a log style manifold.

Log manifolds have less internal volume compared to equal length manifold designs. This means faster turbo spoolup and more low rpm power. Don't let the "homeade" appearing design fool you - when done properly this style of log manifold supports up to 600HP. Why don't we recommend an equal length manifold? Besides being extremely difficult and very expensive to build on the FWD Volvos, they are overkill for the types of upgrades most Volvo owners perform. It require a larger MAF sensors, custom ECU tuning, as well as many other modifications (hood clearance, etc). They are basically unstreetable for 99% of owners and frankly the performance gains from an equal length will be minimal compared to a log style manifold. A true tuned equal length turbo manifold for the 5-cyl FWD Volvos is physically impossible to build simply due to port spacing and underhood packaging limitations. Pipe-Arts produces does produce an equal length manifold, but it is not a true tuned equal length manifold, and there is a reason why only a handful of people use it.

The QBM DIY Turbo Manifold Kit includes our CAD designed and CNC machined from 1/2" thick steel manifold flange, (3) 1.5" thick-walled weld-el T's, (2) 1.5" thick-walled 90 degree weld-els, and your choice of our stock Volvo turbine flange or a T3/GT turbine flange.

The head to manifold flange features a CNC ported transition for smooth flow from the oval exhaust ports to the round weld-els.

Building a custom turbo manifold and need a stock Volvo turbine flange? Whatever your needs are this is the flange to go with.

The QBM Volvo Turbine Flange is CAD designed and CNC machined from 3/8" thick plain steel.

All 4 mounting holes are tapped for the ultimate in flexibility - use it as-is, leave 2 tapped and drill 2 out for the stock configuration, or drill out all 4 holes.

Fits all stock Volvo turbos: RWD Garrett turbos, FWD TD0x Mitsubishi turbos (12T/13G/14T/15G/16T/18T/19T, etc), and the S60R/V70R KKK turbos.

QBM T3/GT Turbine Flange

Fits all T3, T3/T4, GT30R, GT30/40R, GT35/40R, and many other turbos.
