The Volvo eggcrate grille has always been an unmistakable trademark of every Volvo truck and car on the road. However, on some models Volvo introduced a grille with an all-chrome vertical slat design. The change received mixed reviews, as many owners preferred the black eggcrate style grille for its classic Volvo look. Fortunately, there was usually a model in each platform lineup (XC, R, etc) that had an eggcrate grille which could then be swapped with the stock vertical chrome grille.

That was not so with the 850, and 850 owners that wanted to ditch the stock vertical chrome grille only had a choice between a few aftermarket mesh grilles. Well, the wait for 850 owners is over.

QBM now offers a stock style eggcrate grille, complete with chrome surround and the familiar eggcrate design. The QBM Eggcrate Grille is 100% compatible with the stock hood latch. You can even attach the Volvo slash emblem to the eggcrate grille for a stock look, or leave the slash off for a sporty debadged look.

Installation takes less than 5 minutes. Simply open the hood, slide the snap clips off of the stock grille, insert the new eggcrate grille and slide the snap clips back to the locking position.
